a little update

Not much to report here in the muggy south. The temp is high, but where is it not high?! The humidity is thick...the worst part of the south.
Jeff is on a short trip up to Knox and the kids and I are just hanging out. We are working on the potty training issue. Ever since her preschool broke for the summer we have cut out diapers during the day. She has done remarkably well. The last three days she hasn't had a single accident! (GO OLIVIA!!!!!!) And that includes going on short trips to the store, the park, out to eat and to friends houses. I think she's got it down now, and there's no turning back!
Deagan is still struggling with separation anxiety. He's a hard headed man (don't have a clue where he got that from?) and he knows what he wants, and right now- it's momma! I'm still blaming it on our hospital stay in which we were glued to each other, but that's going to wear off soon. He's getting very close to walking. He'll stand and let go for a brief second, and he'll cruise around furniture...but he hasn't quite got the balance yet. His big old noggin weighs him down when he looks around. It'll come in time.
For now they are both busy with each other. They are finally at the point where they can play together. It's adorable, they take turns as far as who's room to play in. She loves to play in his room with all the noisy baby toys. And he loves to play in her room where he can get into everything. Olivia is the classic big sister, bossy as ever, always pushing him around. And he is the classic younger sibling- always fighting for his turn. He's tough, he'll wack her if she's mean and hold on with a death grip if she tries to take something from him. Although, she usually wins. But he never forgets and as soon as she drops it he'll make his move to get it back!
Crazy, crazy kids!

As for Jeff and I - we still have no idea what we're doing. Sell the house? Don't sell? Move to Michigan? Stay here? Go to school? Start a dream? Get a job?
Who knows! I guess that'll come in time too. As much as I hate the south, I'm not ready to give it up for the real world!

As soon as Deagan sees something he wants NOW, he'll walk! Believe me! ha ha

As for what to do? Change is always scarey! But you'll make the right decisions. You have TONS of support from us and everyone.
