One of our favorite places to go was the Old Towne Slidell Soda Shop. It was old fashion inside and they served grilled cheese, hot dogs, all the old favorites- along with ice cream in the old tin dishes. They had a little arcade in the back for the kids too. It was a great place, but it flooded terribly and they lost everything. At least they could have a little fun with it by drawing the water level on the side of the building:)
