Little Carter #3 is on it's way!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeff and I are pleased to announce that we are expecting baby #3. Finally! It's been a long time coming, I know. This will be our last and final munchkin in the family. Olivia has been asking for a baby for a year now and she'll finally get her wish. We are due in late October. It should be a fun fall for us. With Olivia starting kindergarten and us having a new baby. Always staying busy in this house! This time around we are not going to find out the sex of the baby. Gasp, I know! But you've got to remember that we've already had one of each, so we're ready. Besides, we found out on both of the other two. And this is the biggest surprise you can ever truly have in your life, so we're going to go for it. It's going to be a long few months in anticipation, but it will be worth it! Maybe this time we'll tell you the names...maybe not! We'll keep you updated and let you know how all is going. As for now, I'm feeling great and baby is happy and healthy!
APRIL FOOLS! Gotcha! No, we are not having a baby....but I bet you thought we were! Happy April Fools Day:)

NIck 3-28
*HaPpY bIrThDaY bRoThEr*
Today, is my brother's birthday. He would have been 28 on the 28th, in '08. I've always thought that it was cool when your birth date occurred on that day of the month. So here's to you, my angel in heaven, Happy Birthday! Wish I could hug you. Wish I could tip one back with you! Wish we could be getting dressed and ready to take you out to dinner, not making a post on a silly blog! Not a day goes by that we don't think of you and miss you to pieces!
Love you!
Love you!

Blue Jean Momma
Well the kids are sleeping, napping actually. I secretly wish I was napping, but I've been successful in giving it up. I finally realized that it makes me more tired and lazy. So maybe just a few times a month. Plus, now that the studio is in the house, I do feel guilty. There is always so much to do. If only I could get the urge up to exercise. I've been off the wagon for ten (gasp and awe) months now. Busy, yes. Lazy, definitely. Motivated, somewhat on the inside- it just hasn't worked it's way out yet. But Jeff has jumped full force back into dieting and massive amounts of exercise. The dieting part I have no problem with. It's easy for me. I think I know what my problem is, it's so freaking cold outside. I hate, wait let me capitalize that, HATE running on the treadmill. So I guess my excuse is I'm waiting for the weather to change so that I can get outside again. It's coming.
On a plus side, and actually the whole reason for this post- this weekend while shopping with my mom and the kids- I grabbed a new pair of jeans, did NOT try them on, got them home and they fit perfect. It's like a dream, no messing with the agonizing fitting room debacle, just grab it off the rack, swipe the card and pray I don't have to drag the kids out of their carseats on yet another cold day to return it! Now in a few months when my workouts do resume and I must try clothes on because the ones in the closet are too lose, well then I will gladly go through the fitting room craziness to scream and yell in a hooray type fashion at purchasing a pair that is a size (or two) smaller.

Our New Floor
Bathtime Fun
Cheese ball playing santa!
Look at that hair, she had double braided piggy tails.
He has a fascination with blowing bubbles in water, more typically his drinking glass at the dinner table...so I told him he could bring his straw into the bath tub and blow all of the bubbles he wanted! And it worked and he loved it!

Cashing in on the weather getting better!

She's growing up so fast!
Who is this? Not my son! He looks completely different!
He was crying because he couldn't get his flashlight to work outside....because it was light out, and you can't see it unless it's dark. And he just couldn't understand it!The weather warmed up (were talking into the 40s) last week, so I FINALLY let the kids ride their bikes on our culdesac. My rule for Olivia was that the pavement needed to be completely dry before she could ride her bike again. Well it happened for about three days. So we rode bikes.

Mine, All Mine!
The entire last week, my wonderful husband and dear daddy, renovated the playroom above the garage into my new photography studio! There was NASTY map poop brown wallpaper and brown spotty paint on the ceiling. It's been a sorespot for us since we moved in....but not anymore. The guys busted their butts every night this week until the wee hours of the morning to get it done. Friday night they finished around midnight just in time for my Easter rush to start:) And I hosted my first set of appointments today and they went fabulous! I will post more pictures soon.
This is the finished studio. It's actually bright white paint, wainscotting and trim.
My cool tracklighting.
This was the "playroom/office" before!
Who would ever choose this wallpaper?
Deagan helping!

Little Deagie

Friday night after the car crash, we were packing our car to head up north for Jeff's mom's birthday weekend. We all felt fine, just tired. Deagan doubled over in the kitchen and said his tummy hurt. I being the good mother, tried to convince him to poop. Or eat. But he insisted it hurt. A few minutes later he was vomiting all over the kitchen. And then he continued every ten minutes exactly. Needless to say, we were FREAKED out and thought it was because of the accident! We rushed him to the ER. They checked him all out and said he was ok, no internal bleeding or head trauma. They did some blood tests, gave him some meds and an IV. We stayed for a few hours and then they released us. They said it was just pure coincidence. And that he had a nasty 24 hour virus that is going around. Talk about freaky!
He's ok now. But last night Jeff and Olivia were up ALL night until 4:30ish in the morning with the same thing!
Ewe.
Crash!

Friday, my mom, the kids, and I were on our way to The Palace to see High School Musical On Ice. We were run off the road by a mini-van who changed lanes and didn't see us in that lane. We merged, but caught some ice and slush and it sent us crashing into the cement center divider. We bounced off head first and then did a 360 and ended up back in that lane facing the right direction. We were all ok, just a little shaken up. The kids were just fine, not even sore. I had some whiplash and felt achy. But my mom took the main hit. She slashed her face and chin (and body) up with the seatbelt. And hurt her foot amidst the gas/break. I called 911 and they were there within FIVE minutes. Police, ambulance, and a fire truck. They shut down the highway to one lane...and apparently it was on the news that night.
It was scary. freaky. and basically mind blowing to conceptualize.
And my dad's truck, yeah, well it's seen better days. The front end is not happy. no headlights or bumper. And we bent the frame. Ugh.
