Crash!

Friday, my mom, the kids, and I were on our way to The Palace to see High School Musical On Ice. We were run off the road by a mini-van who changed lanes and didn't see us in that lane. We merged, but caught some ice and slush and it sent us crashing into the cement center divider. We bounced off head first and then did a 360 and ended up back in that lane facing the right direction. We were all ok, just a little shaken up. The kids were just fine, not even sore. I had some whiplash and felt achy. But my mom took the main hit. She slashed her face and chin (and body) up with the seatbelt. And hurt her foot amidst the gas/break. I called 911 and they were there within FIVE minutes. Police, ambulance, and a fire truck. They shut down the highway to one lane...and apparently it was on the news that night.
It was scary. freaky. and basically mind blowing to conceptualize.
And my dad's truck, yeah, well it's seen better days. The front end is not happy. no headlights or bumper. And we bent the frame. Ugh.

Hope your mom is okay, if she needs help just tell her to give me a call.

omg. how scary! and a virus on top of it... yuck. good thing you took deagan to the hospital anyway. maddy had a concussion last year after flipping off a bed at someone's house. she was vomiting, too, and they said it's always the right thing to do to bring them in if it could be a head injury. hope everyone is feeling back to normal soon, especially your mom. no go lock yourselves in a padded room;)
