So Jeff and I are coaching Olivia's soccer team right now. Eleven four year olds. They are a great bunch of kids. Surprisingly they all listen. Very well. They do as we ask. They get our crazy drills. And then they all smile. They WANT to be there. They WANT to learn. They WANT to succeed. They fall down and they get up and get right at it. They haven't been burned yet. And I hope they never will!
If only some adults in this world could have as much enthusiasm about something they are doing in their lives as my four year olds playing soccer! They picked it, or at least they agreed to it when their parents asked if they wanted to play. So many of us pick things and then are miserable doing them. But you picked it.
Somehow it is, that children are wise beyond their years. Wiser than any of us 'adults' will ever be...

It is amazing what you can learn from children playing. Their determination, passion and love for life. They can teach us as much as we teach them, if we can just take a minute of our blinded lives and watch and learn.
