As with Olivia, I've been doing baby signs with Deagan for about three months now. For the first time on Sunday he actually signed back:) Normally it takes a very long time to see any results, but once you do it's amazing! Olivia was a signing queen (and sometimes still does when she's frustrated). Deagan was eating his lunch and I said "All Gone" along with the sign- And he matter-of-factly stuck his hand up and out and did the sign back to me in super slow motion. Like saying look at me mommy, I can do it. And he was staring at his hand sort of amazed that he was doing it:) So he does understand my crazy antics and we're on our way!!!!
Today ended our five day visit with my parents. We had a great time! The kids love MiMaw and Poppie so much, you'll see in the tons of pictures that I posted! We enjoyed lots of outdoor fun and lots of silliness too. Deagan bonded instantly with my Dad and wouldn't let him out of his sight all week. He didn't even care for mommy, he just wanted poppie 24/7. And MiMaw was Olivia's grandma, not Deagan's...so she said. But it balanced out (what are they going to do when there is another kid in the mix???). And of course they (we) were spoiled rotten. We can't wait to get up to Michigan sometime soon to see everyone again!
Trying to get Olivia to smile at the camera for one last group photo before they flew back to Michigan- this was the closest we got!
Poppie's last attempt in the airport to get Deagan to walk:) And Deag loved every second of it! Poppie was his best friend from the second he arrived:)
Look out daddy, here comes big buck hunter olivia!
best buds racing pretend cars, they didn't know the difference, they still had fun:)
Olivia and Maddy groving to the music after the movie (yes, my mother might be more obsessed with pictures that I) but it's these little moments that we remember
My name is Tricia Carter and this is the life in snidbits of the crazy Carter family. Jeff and I have been married for six years now and we have three amazing kids! Olivia is five and blossoming right before our eyes into a little lady, sweet and smart. Deagan is three and is crazy as can be. Tiny Tessa is growing bigger and more beautiful each day. We are so thankful to have three beautiful, healthy and happy children. I can't help but gush about them daily. I hope you enjoy following our lives.
