Got FEMA? Posted by Picasa

This is mainly the bottom floor of a two story house. Posted by Picasa

This was all of the docks going out into lake ponchatrain (facing New Orleans). These people once had a private, peaceful, beautiful waterfront piece of property! Posted by Picasa

If you look closesly, the whole bottom floor of these condos was wiped out by water. Posted by Picasa

Here some brave soul is rebuilding a very tall house right on the waters edge, I'm telling you it's a sight to see fresh bright wood, when everything around it is dead or dying. Posted by Picasa

The structure that was raised above the edge of this pond, is now in the pond surrounded by all the debris. Posted by Picasa

Down by the waters edge, every crevas is filled with debris- in the woods, in the water, on the streets- this one even has a little house in it! Posted by Picasa

This one is right on a little inlet of water, and because of that the storm surge (about 20+ feet of water) just tore right through it! Posted by Picasa

Sign Baby Sign

As with Olivia, I've been doing baby signs with Deagan for about three months now. For the first time on Sunday he actually signed back:) Normally it takes a very long time to see any results, but once you do it's amazing! Olivia was a signing queen (and sometimes still does when she's frustrated).
Deagan was eating his lunch and I said "All Gone" along with the sign- And he matter-of-factly stuck his hand up and out and did the sign back to me in super slow motion. Like saying look at me mommy, I can do it. And he was staring at his hand sort of amazed that he was doing it:)
So he does understand my crazy antics and we're on our way!!!!

Spring Break w my parents

Today ended our five day visit with my parents. We had a great time! The kids love MiMaw and Poppie so much, you'll see in the tons of pictures that I posted! We enjoyed lots of outdoor fun and lots of silliness too. Deagan bonded instantly with my Dad and wouldn't let him out of his sight all week. He didn't even care for mommy, he just wanted poppie 24/7. And MiMaw was Olivia's grandma, not Deagan's...so she said. But it balanced out (what are they going to do when there is another kid in the mix???). And of course they (we) were spoiled rotten.
We can't wait to get up to Michigan sometime soon to see everyone again!

Airport Goodbyes

Trying to get Olivia to smile at the camera for one last group photo before they flew back to Michigan- this was the closest we got! Posted by Picasa

Poppie's last attempt in the airport to get Deagan to walk:) And Deag loved every second of it! Poppie was his best friend from the second he arrived:) Posted by Picasa

waiting for them to come

It was really hot this weekend! Olivia was talking on Deagan's rattle to the airplane pilot telling them to bring her grandparent's here safely Posted by Picasa
