HAPPY NEW YEAR 2007

Tonight Jeff and I indulged in dinner at our B&B. Apparently, it's the hottest ticket in town....but we didn't have that much luck, at first. Our waitress was brand new, why they would have a waitress' first night on New Years Eve, we don't know. We were looking forward to this certain appetizer and soup that they were featuring all week, even moreso than the entree. Well the waitress never put in our ticket, so we didn't get that. Jeff ordered the rack of lamb, which was fabulous. And I ordered this crazy lobster dish. The waitress ended up explaining it wrong and we didn't get what we were hoping for. Instead of yummy lobster meat out of it's shell, we got yucky lobster puree poured back into the shell...ewe. Well Jeff sent it back for me and ordered something different. It all ended up tasking wonderful with scrumptious dessert. And best of all they comped our entire meal and we only had to pay for drinks. So we had a delicious gourmet $120 meal for $11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was great:)

Regardless, we are having a happy new year's eve and we hope you are too! We miss our little munchkins like crazy and laugh and reminisce about them often. This is the longest I have ever left them, and for the record I did cry:( They were both sick and it was terrible timing for us to leave. But they are doing well now. They are having fun with their grandparents and are going to spend two nights at the indoor waterpark in Frankenmuth.

Jeff and I went to Boston yesterday. We spent some time around town in the afternoon. We made it over to Quincy Market, where I got a unique sculpture of tree frogs (yes, it's a mild hidden obsession). We'll post pictures later. Jeff got tickets for us to see the Blue Man Group too. I'd been before, but it was his first time. We both just loved it! It's such a good time. If you haven't been, GO! They are in Chicago, Boston, and Las Vegas. It's a crowd pleaser and they've improved the show a lot over the last five years. It was fun:)

This morning we took some time all to ourselves to be sight see-ers. We drove across the base of Vermont, stopping every five minutes for great photo ops. Yesterday, we got about two inches of snow, and with the mountains shadowing everything the snow stuck and made for beautiful pictures....I only took 236....not bad:)

Anyway, we hope everyone is safe tonight and has a happy and healthy start to the new year!
Love Jeff and Tricia

HAPPY CRAZY NEW YEAR

My dad and I have some quads in the garage. The kids are always wanted to get on them and take rides. Every time Deagan walks past them he yells to get on. So for Christmas Santa brought them two little power wheels quads! Just look at that little guy's face:) Posted by Picasa

My parents got Deagan this zebra jumpy/lights/spinning thing that they love. It's just about as crazy as he is! Posted by Picasa

The only thing this princess asked for from santa was ice skates...isn't she adorable:) Posted by Picasa

The Carter/Ropac Family Christmas Weekend

This year we met up with Jeff's side of the family, his dad and Joan, sister Kelly, sister Melissa and her family up at Boyne. Our little "ski weekend" that we had planned didn't turn out as hoped, but we still made it a great time. We all met up at Boyne and rented a condo on the side of the mountain...one of those ski in/ski out. Yeah, well the trouble was there was no snow! HA! What a surprise it was when we drove up and saw a huge brown mountain staring at us:) There were a few runs open and us beginners were able to still have a great time. Jeff has been snowboarding for about 40 years now, so he's an expert. I have for about six, but still wasn't too good at it, so I decided to take ski lessons. Melissa and I took a semi-private lesson together while Zach, Alexis and Randy took a snowboard lesson. Olivia went to ski bunny school, but wasn't digging it, so she left early with daddy. Kelly took on the big hill with lessons from her private pro- Jeff. And Deagan got some time with his grandpa Tom and Joan in the condo. Jeff and I brought up a nice prime rib that he cooked for our Christmas dinner Friday night, it came out better than ever before...mmm! Saturday we decided to hit the slops again with Olivia. We bought a ski leash and led her down the big mountain. She did so great! She listened very well and had more fun that we ever expected. It was quite a workout to lead her down that mountain! Saturday night we attempted the indoor waterpark, but were mostly too wiped out to do much. Jeff did the surfing simulator twice and just about got the hang of it! Overall it was a great time. It was so nice to have all of the family in one place for the entire weekend! We all took our turn with a stomach flu, but it was still a great Christmas:)
