MAV+OAC=BFF

Olivia and Maverick love each other so, so much. He sleeps with her most nights and ALL naps. She counts on him to protect her in the dark and when she has to go just about anywhere...he follows!

Spring Flowers

I was taking pictures of the kids and saw these flowers, got close, and realized that there were fresh bees flying around. Then we had a nice long pollination conversation with olivia:)

Deagan's New (revisited obsession)

Now that the weather is warm, Deagan has busted out his quad again! It's amazing how obsessed a TWO YEAR OLD can be with something...it's a serious passion for him! Don't you love his new helmet that Jeff bought him!

Weekend Update

This weekend my best friend, Lindsey, was in town for a brief second. I drove over to spend Saturday and Sunday with her at her mom's in Spring Lake. We had a busy weekend getting things together for Lindsey and Peter's wedding. She did a marathon planning weekend trying to get all of the vendors and things lined up for August. It was fun, who doesn't like to plan a wedding?
It's always nice to get away for a day or two, by yourself, without kids to realize how much you love them and miss them....when they make you crazy living in a bubble everyday. It's important to have ME time and sometimes it's easy to loose sight of that. It's also very personally enriching to spend a weekend with your best friend, who moved to Tucson and you haven't seen since last June. Being with friends, laughing, relaxing, sleeping in and running around town without buckling and unbuckling carseats every time...now that's rejuvenating. I miss her. I miss myself and how great it feels to actually miss what you have back home. Being a stay at home mom is absolutely wonderful but it is nice to step away, get perspective and then come back and be missed:)

Jeff had a good time with the kids. It was rocky for the first little bit with poor Deagan, who is hopelessly attached to his mother, crying for me for an hour or so. But soon he got over it and they were able to have some QT. Deagan got a wicked new helmet for his quad riding. And all total they kids got to do a lot of outdoor playing, the weather was perfect and they definitely took advantage of it:)

It was a good weekend for all of us!
Now it's back to the norm, Deagan has an ear infection and an eye issue. We go see an opthamologist for it tomorrow hope it goes well!

A Day Trip to Kensington

Kensington Metropark has a petting farm there that is FREE to go to. Last weekend the kids and I went with my friend Lindsay and her BF Mike. There is a 1 ton momma pig that had 12, one week old piggies. The kids loved them. The babies were HUGE, I couldn't believe how big they were for just a week!

Indoor Soccer

Back this winter, the kids took an indoor soccer session (THANKS UNCLE ANDY). Well I don't think I ever posted pictures from it, so here are a few of Olivia. She loved it! And is now going to be in a pre-k soccer this spring/summer. And guess who volunteered to coach her team- JEff and I !!!!! Should be fun:)

Little Carter #3 is on it's way!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeff and I are pleased to announce that we are expecting baby #3. Finally! It's been a long time coming, I know. This will be our last and final munchkin in the family. Olivia has been asking for a baby for a year now and she'll finally get her wish. We are due in late October. It should be a fun fall for us. With Olivia starting kindergarten and us having a new baby. Always staying busy in this house! This time around we are not going to find out the sex of the baby. Gasp, I know! But you've got to remember that we've already had one of each, so we're ready. Besides, we found out on both of the other two. And this is the biggest surprise you can ever truly have in your life, so we're going to go for it. It's going to be a long few months in anticipation, but it will be worth it! Maybe this time we'll tell you the names...maybe not! We'll keep you updated and let you know how all is going. As for now, I'm feeling great and baby is happy and healthy!

APRIL FOOLS! Gotcha! No, we are not having a baby....but I bet you thought we were! Happy April Fools Day:)
