Well Thanksgiving went very well and ended way too soon, (snif, snif). We had a great time building 'snow houses' for maverick, sledding until she realized that she didn't like it too fast, and cuddling on the couch. We were all very sad to see Daddy go. But as Olivia says, "Daddy has to fix our house!" So he was allowed to go back. But he promised to be back really soon:) We hung around Brighton a little this week at my parent's house and got some Christmas photos taken....hope you like them, two came out great, one was ok, and the other wasn't so good! We were able to get both of them to smile at the same time, imagine that! Deagan does not look three months old. He's such a little man:)
What a time to be thankful! During this crazy semester (I've been a student all my life, so my years start in September and I think in semesters...) we have had so many incredible highs and lows. First, thinking that we might have lost our house and all our possessions and then finding out that we weathered the storm. Then, giving birth to a beautiful healthy baby boy, whom we put some long crazy bed-ridden months into. And having an amazing daughter who is so smart and takes my breath away each day with her beauty, inside and out. To our amazing family and friends who have supported us in our time of need. Many of the families affected by hurricane Katrina cannot say the same and are left wondering what to be thankful for this season, but all that matters is that you have your family. If you are blessed enough to have friends that care for you as if you are family, and family that supports you in every way, then you should be thankful. We are thankful to find out this week that Jeff will NOT be going to Iraq, but in the same respect thankful that our friends that are over there are safe and protected. Tomorrow will be a great day for us, being together as a family and celebrating all that we are thankful for! HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF YOU:)
Two days until Jeff comes home!!!!! A bunch of you are asking when he's coming and when you can see him...well sorry, Olivia, Deagan and I are keeping him all to ourselves this time. We REALLY need some alone family time, so we're taking it. We always, always spend all of our free time running around to see everyone else, and we miss out on alone time. Well, we're getting stronger and taking off this time. Thank you all for understanding, and no we don't need a babysitter this time (many of you have asked) cuz it's the four of us hanging out together. Maybe at Christmas well take you up on some of those offers. Jeff will be getting three weeks off at Christmas, so start thinking of dates and times....we love you and hope you all have a great Thanksgiving:)

Our first snow
Giggling in Olivia's bed together
Ohh La la
Look at his face..."where's mommy?"
Olivia got to push him in her doll stroller and I think he has just as much fun!!!!
We got our first snow of the season today! After being in the high 60's on Sunday, now we have snow. We are supposed to have about six inches by morning:) YIPPY! Olivia is SOOO excited!....and so am I.
Paulla and Ron are building a garage right now, and they had just poured fresh cement Monday. We let Olivia do her handprints and then did Deagan's footprints. I took him inside to wash his feet, and I was rubbing them with a baby wipe. He burst out into a HUGE belly laugh for the first time. It was so great, the best sound in the world!
My name is Tricia Carter and this is the life in snidbits of the crazy Carter family. Jeff and I have been married for six years now and we have three amazing kids! Olivia is five and blossoming right before our eyes into a little lady, sweet and smart. Deagan is three and is crazy as can be. Tiny Tessa is growing bigger and more beautiful each day. We are so thankful to have three beautiful, healthy and happy children. I can't help but gush about them daily. I hope you enjoy following our lives.
